Danville Fire Department

Fire Chief

Mark Morgan

As Fire Chief, I want to welcome you to the Danville Fire Department Web page and thank you for visiting. The Danville Fire Department is a combination Department that currently employs 11 full-time personnel an 26 paid on call, "volunteer" members. We protect approximately 112 square miles that encompasses the Town of Danville, Center Township, and Marion Township. Our highly trained and dedicated members provide Fire and EMS service to approximately 13,000 citizens, 24 hours a day.

I am a lifelong resident of Danville, graduating from Danville High School in 1981. After receiving my Bachelors degree from Hanover College in 1985, I joined the fire department. I have been serving as Fire Chief since August of 2000. It has been, and always will be, my goal to administer the fire department with this philosophy in mind. If I were to call the Fire Department to my home for an emergency, how well would I want them to be trained and how would I want them to treat me and my family. This is the basic standard that I apply when making decisions on how to run the Department. I have charged my officers with this same principle. I am dedicated to providing the citizens with the best Fire Department that I can, and I expect the same from my officers.

I hope that you enjoy your visit to this web site. Please come back often and see what we are doing and where we are going. The members of the Danville Fire Department, along with myself and my officers, are here to serve you. Should you have any question, concerns, comments, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
