Special Operations
Welcome to the Danville Fire Department Special Operations Page. The Danville Fire Department has created this division to keep up with the overwhelming growth of specialized rescue techniques needed by today's firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
The Special Operations Division is made up of a 16 member Tactical Rescue Team. This team consists of career and paid on call personnel. The team members must complete monthly team training rotating through each technical discipline in accordance w/ NFPA 1670 and 1006 standards.
